How I realized my own worth!

There was a time I used to compare my career to others.

I would measure myself with their achievements as well.

Everything I did looked like I did nothing.

Not until someone I aspired to be like spoke about his admiration for me and my achievements.

This was someone I had the utmost respect for…

I was delighted to hear the compliment.

But I felt a bit awkward too!

I felt that I was too tough on myself.

I realized:

1) We always seek validation from others to trust our own abilities. At times this creates lot of insecurities.

2) Anxiety = Opposite of Focus: Running your own race and being content with what you have is the best way to keep focus.

3) Focus equates speed!
