COVID19 Story – A doctor who postponed his wedding for his patients

I have a friend who is a doctor.

He was supposed to get married last weekend – I was invited as well.

But he cancelled his wedding.

As he is needed everyday on his job – he chose to treat patients during this pandemic rather than getting married.

How selfless of him to have put the life of the people over his own desire.

He taught me:

1) It takes heart and soul to do your work in a manner worthy of the respect.

2) To be a thorough professional and a leader, you need to be out front where the action is — Shoulder the heaviest burden first and set it down last.

Until we realize that life doesn’t revolve around us only, things will never get better.

I hope everyone is doing better in this lockdown.
