One of our key clients called and expressed his annoyance for my team due to delay of his project.
In reality, he was wrong – it was his team’s fault.
But I asked my team to send him an email.
No blame game – We just said that it will be done.
After a few hours, he called and apologized for his outburst.
He had realized that it wasn’t our fault.
We ended the conversation.
We did consitent business and he retained us for 4 more years.
You don’t need to always prove your innocence.
Somethings are better left unsaid!
