My friend was denied a job opportunity.
He did well during the interview according to the recruiter but the board wanted someone else.
Instead of complaining, he stood up and thanked the company & recruiter for the opportunity to be invited and interviewed.
When he got home, he sent an email to the company again and thanked them.
He kept on following up to reiterate his interest in the company and the role.
A month later, they had a vacant position in media sales and he was offered the job without an interview.
The recruiter said he was always in their priority list.
The thing is:
1) Irrespective of the situation, we must never lose sense of gratitude.
2) Either you follow up or fold up.
As 🎧 Michelle Moore says “Not following up with your prospects is the same as filling up your bathtub without first putting the stopper in the drain.”
Would you agree?
