The dark side of gratitude!
“Today I am proud to be supporting 25 families!”
All excited, one of my friends was sharing his achievement of hiring the 25th employee in his team.
Me: “You are wrong, I don’t believe that you are supporting these 25 families.”
“ Then…?”, he asked!
Me: “I believe you are into business BECAUSE of these 25 families.”
– Your office boy needs salary, that’s why you are into business.
– Your employees needs money to sustain their families, that’s why you are into business.
– Your movers, your carpenters, drivers, the IT shop…..
Gratitude is not a passive response to something given to us.
Many millions of things come together, live together, mesh together and breathe together in order for us to take even one more breath of air.
When we understand that, we understand gratitude.
