A candidate requested a recruiter to call back as he had no credit in his mobile.

I was sitting with a friend who owns a recruiting firm.
Having coffee!
His phone rang.
He started conversing, it was obvious, someone was trying to pitch his profile to him for a job
Suddenly he closed the phone & called back the same person
He later told me that the candidate had no credit & to complete his talk he requested him to call back.
My friend called..
Listened to him for 15 minutes.
And assured him best possible!
I was a bit surprised as we all only hear horror stories about recruiters.
He said, “ Zeeshan, we cannot help all candidates with jobs, but it doesn’t cost to be a good moral support to all of them”
I realized:
1) Moral support is underrated: Credit of 1 dirham or one phone call may look value less, but it can help someone to get motivated, to stand up & fight his bad times.
2) The current job may not be a dream job, but to someone unemployed it’s everything.
3) Defeat is orphan: Humans like to blame others for their failures.
With so much unemployment, no wonder we hear only negative talks about recruiters.
But not all fingers are of same length!
Tag a recruiter who deserves to be appreciated!
