A candidate missed an interview with my company.
And he sent a message to me, demanding a reschedule.
But I disagreed!
I thought he wasn’t serious about it.
“Perhaps, he could have shown up if he really wanted the job.”
I said to myself.
But then, after a few days, he called me back and explained a very personal reason for his absence.
It was a genuine excuse and I felt bad for doubting him.
I didn’t think any further; and rescheduled another time.
I learned:
1) We should stop doubting others as people around us are generally carrying good intentions.
2) Instead of arriving on results, we must give people benefit of doubt.
What do you think?
