Before my graduation, I had put out the list of things I want to achieve.
The list included certain achievements before I reached a particular age.
Somehow, few things did not work out as expected.
I became unhappy. Perhaps, I felt cheated by life.
Even though I was making progress, I didn’t see it because my mind was focused on achieving those things I did not achieve.
One day, I was listening to a program on the radio. I heard different callers calling to share their frustrations about life.
I heard people who have been out of a job, some have never been employed, some couldn’t afford to go to school, and many more scenarios.
But most of them were grateful for life and hopeful for the future.
But here I was, focusing on what I don’t have and what I should have become at a certain age.
I learned:
1) Sometimes it is a must to forgive ourselves.
2) There are always things to be grateful for.
3) Setting up goals is a must but achieving a goal is only a momentary change.
And the most important
👉“Your goals NEVER care how you feel”.👈
