New in the city, I was hunting for a job.
This was 15 years ago!
I got an invite from a company that was like 3 hours from where I lived.
My plan was – if I get the job, I’d live around there.
On getting there, I discovered that the interview had been postponed until further notice.
I told the HR manager about my disappointment but all he said was: ”It’s not a must to work with our company if you can’t deal with it.”
I left and never came back.
They never even called back too.
I realized:
1) When someone is in a “Position of Power” and lacks empathy, It’s hard for them to understand and predict how others are feeling.
2) No one is busy, its all about priorities.
