When Shame Haunted Me

Shame is what the world used to shut me down in the past.

The shame of walking out of an unpleasant situation.

The shame of being rejected and therefore remaining in the status quo.

What about the shame of launching something and not getting overnight success?

All these haunted me for a while!

Until I figured out I am not influencing my own decisions.

The fear of someone’s opinion is driving them.

I broke out from the mentality of “What the world would say about me?”.

Who cares?

People are entitled to their opinion.

As long as I’m honest and okay with myself, what people say about me doesn’t really count.

I learned:

If you must go far in life, you must be able to shamelessly trust your ownself.

Have you started trusting yourself yet?
